Bosnian highlands trip offers the best of highland hiking around Sarajevo: 2 mountains, 7 peaks, 1 canyon, 6 highland villages, many legends and amazing stories. Over Bjelašnica mountain, through highland villages, into Rakitnica canyon and finally to Visočica mountain and it's amazing Kaoca ridge.

Day 1: Bjelašnica ridge

- Pick up at 08:00 anywhere in Sarajevo.
- We will climb the highest peak of Bjelašnica and talk about the olympics, austo-hungarian times, as well as the last war which didn't spare even the olympic centre.
- Picnic lunch at Mala Vlahinja peak overlooking Igman mountain.
- Hike continues towards Stanari shepards village.
- Dinner and sleeping in mountain hut Stanari.

Day 2: Lukomir

- Breakfast.
- We will go towards Krošnje, and find out how is the life in the mountains.
- Luch and optional climb to Bjelašnica's secod highest peak Krvavac.
- Walk towards Lukomir highland village - the highest and most isolated village in Bosnia, talking about the unique history of this amazing place.
- Dinner and sleeping in a mountan hut.

Day 3: Umoljani and Rakitnica canyon

- Breakfast.
- We will hike on the edge of the canyon towards Umoljani village, stopping at Studeni potok and Ažbaha, to hear the legends from this village.
- Lunch in the village.
- Visiting 7 mills.
- Entering Rakitnica canyon and following the river through one of the less visited trails in this area.
- After the rest at the bridge, we will have a steep climb towards Bobovica village.
- Dinner and sleeping in Tušila mountain hut.

Day 4: Kaoca

- Breakfast.
- Today is the last day, and offers the best for the last. Kaoca ridge offers stuning scenary and a view on the whole trip we did.
- Lunch at Vito peak.
- Hiking over the ridge to Drstva peak.
- Return to Sarajevo from Tušila at 17:00

• - Three nights in mountain huts with breakfast and dinner
