Very long and demanding hike that takes us up to four different peaks, fantastic views on Rakitnica canyon, and two medieval necropolises deep in the mountain. The hike is reccomended only for those very fit and able to walk whole day.
The hike starts at Sinanovići village. Very soon we go into the forest, and get in amphiteater just under Vito peak. After a steep climb, we're on one of the most beautiful peaks around Sarajevo.
After a short break we continue over a ridge, leaving Kaoca massif behind, and climb to Parič peak to get to partisan transfersal from 1942. Then we continue towards Jezera, where we will make a break at stećci necropolis, a medieval graveyard deep in the mountain, far from all villages. After the rest the final climb to Visočicas highest peak Džamija awaits. Short break for photos and rest, before descending back to Jezera for picnic lunch.
Late in the day we start our long way back. First to Uteklić peak, then to water source, and through the forest we will finally make a full circle and end back at Sinanovići.
The peaks of Visočica mountain offer surreal views on the suroundings. This offersfive different peaks, long walks between them, and even two medieval necropolises. It's long and demanding hike, but very rewarding.
